In Tip #1, we highly recommended you make sure your bounce house rental company is insured. This same tip applies to any rentals you contract including tents, tables, chairs, inflatable games, etc. Don’t rent any service without receiving an “Additional Insured Certificate.” This will protect you and your guests.

Tip #2: Get a guarantee that your bounce house, or other party rental items, are cleaned and disinfected (if applicable).

• Really cheap companies don’t have the time or manpower necessary to not only clean but also disinfect their bouncers. It just takes too much time and effort to set up a jumper at the warehouse and clean it if the company doesn’t have the appropriate staff to do the work. Get a guarantee or don’t hire that company. A quality, professional company will gladly sign a written guarantee that your item(s) are cleaned and disinfected.

Look, children eat a ton of cake and drink gallons of punch at parties. Take those two ingredients, shake them vigorously in the little tummies of your guest’s kids while they jump and play in a bounce house. Common sense can predict that occasionally one of those precious children is going to regurgitate and “paint” the inside of the bounce house floor and walls with their discharge. Sometimes, children have intestinal distress while playing, especially the really little ones wearing diapers. It’s common knowledge that diapers are not 100% leak proof.

If your “cheap” party rental company doesn’t clean and disinfect before every use, whose kids are going to jump and sit and roll in above-mentioned fluids? Yours are!

I don’t intend to be gross but it’s not enough to take a wet rag and wipe down body fluids. You have to use the proper chemicals to disinfect a bouncer so the next guests don’t come into contact with these technically hazardous materials.

I’ve seen this issue hundreds of times and it is more common than not that the cheap party rental company rents a bounce house five, six, ten or more times, if ever, before disinfecting their inflatable game.

Now ask yourself, is it worth saving $10, $20 or more knowing your kids are going to roll around in other people’s “filth?” Make the right choice and spend a few more bucks on the safety and well-being of your kids and your guests.

There are several things to keep in mind thought before renting a jumper. The most important thing to keep in mind, Price isn’t everything! The old saying, “The cheap comes out expensive” could not be more applicable than in the bouncy castle industry. There is a reason why some companies are drastically cheaper than their competitors. The main reasons some companies are extremely cheap are :

1. Cheap companies are usually not insured. It is very expensive for a bounce house company to insure each and every one of their bouncers. If there is an accident in your rented bounce house and the company is not insured, “YOU WILL BE SUED PERSONALLY!” Make sure the jump house company is insured by providing an Additional Insured Certificate naming you or your organization. By the way, most homeowner’s insurance specifically excludes coverage for bouncy castles. So, your probably not protected by your homeowner’s insurance.
